WE WELCOME RAC
We are delighted to announce RAC as the 2012 Naming Rights Sponsor. The 2012 event promises to be even bigger and better thanks to RAC's involvement.
RAC Executive General Manager of Advocacy and Member Benefits Pat Walker said the RAC was proud to be associated with such a unique Western Australian event.
“Cycling is a growing trend in Western Australia, with more people choosing to cycle to work and for recreation. As an organisation committed to ensuring people can move around their community safety and efficiently in a sustainable way, the RAC is an avid supporter of cycling as an alternative to vehicles,” Mr Walker said.
“The RAC Freeway Bike Hike is a great event for the promotion of cycling and provides an essential source of fundraising for the Asthma Foundation of WA. As a Western Australian organisation, the RAC is pleased to be involved in a local community event."

ABOUT ASTHMA
The Freeway Bike Hike for Asthma is the largest fundraising initiative for the Asthma Foundation WA. By raising much needed funds you are ensuring the foundation can continue to provide the necessary support to over 225,000 West Australians living with asthma.
Asthma is a long-term disease which can be controlled with proper treatment, however at present there is no cure. Asthma is currently one of the top 8 national health priorities, affecting 10% of Australians. It is the most common form of chronic illness amongst children, is a leading cause of admission to hospital, and a leading cause for days away from school or work.
