How do I enter?

There are three ways to enter as a participant:

In Person - Event Expo
Individuals are able to register at the Event Expo, to be held in the Perth CBD in the days leading up to the event. Details coming soon.

Online Early Bird Entry must be completed before July 29. Online late entry fees apply to registrations submitted after July 29.

Why am I having difficulty registering for certain distances online?

Because the category selection box runs off Javascript, security settings that block Java will prevent the online registration from working. Most corporate work environments have security settings that block Java. If you experience this problem, we recommend that you complete your online registration from a Java-enabled computer.
 

Can I change distances?

Yes. To do this, please refer to your e-ticket which was emailed to you when you registered.

  1. Please click the orange 'MY ACCOUNT' link the top right hand corner. This will log you into MY REG.
  2. Click on "registrations" from the menu displayed across the top of the page.
  3. Next, click on the spy glass and then on "Category Transfer" where you will be prompted to click 'Continue' before your transfer options are shown.

    Please note, you are only able to transfer down categories using this function (e.g. Move down from the Marathon to the Half Marathon, 12km Run, 12km Walk etc. Move down from the 12km Run to the 12km Walk, 4km Run etc)

    A $2.50 transfer fee will be charged. There will not be any refunds for changing to a lower fee distance

Can I change from the walk to the run and vice versa?

Yes. If you're registered in the 12km or 4km distance you can change from the run to the walk, or the walk to the run.

Simply follow these steps:

1.     1. Click ‘My Account’ in the top right corner of your E-Ticket

2.     2. Click ‘Registrations’ in the menu bar and click the spyglass to open your details

3.     3. Click ‘Category/person transfer’ then 'Change to Another Event' and follow the prompts

Can I enter now and pay later?

No, unless you are entering as part of a team where the team captain is paying for all team members, you must pay at the time of entry. Entries without payment will not be processed. Any information entered into our online system without a payment being made will not be saved unless they are part of a team entry.
 

Can I enter on race day?

No. There will be no facility to register participants on race day or to collect race bibs for paid registrations.

Your last chance to register and collect you race bib is Saturday 24 August 2013 at the Event Expo, open until 5pm at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre.
 

Can I get a refund?

No refunds will be issued under any circumstance. When you register online or via postal entry form you accept the terms and conditions of entry which clearly state under no circumstances will a refund be provided.
 

If I can't collect my race bib from the expo can I add race bib postage to my registration?

Yes. Please click the "My Account" link in the top right corner of your E-Ticket and follow the prompts to add postage. This option closes 11.59pm 28th July 2012, and must be paid for by this time.
 

Can I transfer my entry to another person?

Entries can be transferred from one entrant to another by following these steps:

1. Open your E-Ticket and click 'My Account' in the top right corner

2. Click the 'Registrations' tab then open the spyglass to view your registration

3. Click 'Category Transfer' then 'Person to Person Transfer' and switch your detils over.

Alternatively you can do this in person at the Event Expo before 5pm Saturday 24th August 2013.

 

What is a race bib?

A race bib contains your race number and timing device (attached to your bib). The electronic timing tag is attached to your bib and is disposable after the event along with your race bib.

You will receive safety pins to attach your race bib to your clothing.

How do I receive/collect my race bib?

When you register you will be given two options:

a) collect your race bib at the Event Expo
b) have your race bib posted to you for an additional fee

NB: After 23.59pm (WST) on 28 July 2013 the postal option will be closed and you will not be offered this option at time of registration.
 

 

What happens if my postal race bib is not paid for by the closing date?

If your bib is not paid for in full by 11:59pm on Sunday 28th July your postage option will be automatically transferred to a collection option. NOTE: This also applies to team members.
 

 

Can someone else collect my race bib for me?

Yes. If someone is collecting your race bib on your behalf they will be required to bring a copy of your e-ticket.

PLEASE NOTE the race bibs will not be collated according to team registrations or families. Race bibs will be issued according to Bib numbers. Should you wish to collect team members race bibs on their behalf you will unfortunately have to queue for each individual bib.
 

Where do I collect my race bib?

Race bibs must be collected from the Event Expo held at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre in the Perth CBD on Friday August 23 and Saturday August 24.

Opening hours are:

Friday August 23rd- 08:00am - 08:00pm

Saturday August 24th- 08:00am - 5:00pm

 


 

Is there an age limit?

The minimum age for the Marathon is 18 years of age (as of event day) and the minimum age for the Half Marathon is 16 years of age (as of event day).

Why haven't I received confirmation of my registration?

You will not receive confirmation of your registration ("E-Ticket") until your team captain has paid for your entry.

Please note, you will not be able to collect your race bib until your team captain has paid for your entry also.

If you have nominated a postal race bib, please ensure your team captain pays for your entry by 29th July or your bib will not be posted.

When do registrations close?

Registrations are open until Saturday 25th August, however we encourage participants to register early in order to secure their preferred start wave.

Do I need to re-register for the 12km distance?

No. If you've already registered for the 13km distance, your registration will automatically be transferred to the 12km distance.

What happens if I registered for the 13km and opted to have my race bib posted?

Your race bib will remain as a postal and you will automatically be issued with a 12km bib.

If I registered for the 13km distance, do I need to re-print my E-Ticket?

No. Your bib number will remain unchanged and you will automatically be allocated a 12km bib.

What happens to my Wave selection if I registered for the 13km?

Your new Wave is reflective of your 12km finish time, so you will automatically be transferred to the correlating Wave.

Can I be transfered into a team if I have already registered?

Yes. Please email citytosurf@csports.com.au and let us know your name and the team you would like to be transferred to.

Which Wave do I register in if I'm pushing a pram?

All participants pushing a pram MUST start at the rear of the field in their respective distance.

Please register in Wave 3- the final wave- for safety reasons and to ensure the best on course experience for you and others around you.

Do I have to pay for my child?

As this is a charity event, we encourage all participants to register. If you child will be walking on the course at ANY stage they must be registered as a safety measure.

Can I change waves?

Yes. To change your wave, please follow the steps below.

1. Open your E-Ticket and click 'My Account' in the top right corner

2. Click the 'Registrations' tab then open the spyglass to view your registration.

3. Click the 'Category Transfer' then 'Change Wave' and follow the prompts.

When will I receive my posted Race Bib?

Postal Race Bibs will be dispatched on the 6th of August, so you should expect to receive your bib mid-August.

How do I add postage to my registration?

To add postage to your registration simply follow these prompts:

1. Open your E-Ticket and click 'My Account' in the top right corner

2. Click 'registrations' in the menu bar and click the spyglass to open your details

3. Click 'category/person transfer' and follow the prompts to add postage.

Please note this must be done and paid for by 29th July if you wish to receive your Race Bib in the mail.

How do I change distances?

To change your distance or wave, please follow the steps below:
- Open your e-ticket and click 'My Account' in top right corner
- Click 'Registrations' tab then open the spyglass to view your registration
- Click 'Category Transfer' then 'Change to another event' and follow the prompts
 

How do I know if I have selected the postal race pack option?

If you have selected your race pack to be posted it will say “Posted Race Pack” on the top left hand corner of your E-ticket opposite the barcode.

When will the postal bibs be sent out?

Postal race bibs will be sent out from 13th August.

When and where do I pick up my Race Pack or bib?

If you did not select the postal option, you will need to collect your Race Bib from the Event Expo on Friday 24th or Saturday 25th August at the PCEC. Opening times are Friday 08:00am - 8:00pm and Saturday 08:00am - 5:00pm.

Can I change my registration if I selected the postal option?

If you are receiving your Race Bib in the post and wish to make changes to your registration, such as change wave or distance, you must do this in person at the Event Expo at the PCEC on Friday 24th or Saturday 25th August.

What do I do if I've misplaced my E-Ticket?

If you've misplaced your E-Ticket simply come down to the Expo with some personal ID and our friendly staff will assist you at the Help Desk.

If someone is collecting your Race Bib for you and you've misplaced your E-Ticket, please contact us through the Help page on our website.

What do I do if I've misplaced my E-Ticket and someone else is collecting my Race Bib?

Simply contact us through the Help page of our website and we'll help you out.
