The 12km distance is a mass event with over 30,000 expected; it is a rare and special running experience. Whether you want to finish fast or at a more leisurely pace there is a wave to suit everyone’s speed. The 12km run is better when shared with friends so train together and run together in this mass community distance.

The Start

Assembly Location: Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre, Perth CBD

Start Time: 8.55am

Please arrive at PCEC no earlier than 30 minutes prior to your start time.

Participants will be marshaled into pavilions approximately 20 minutes before their race is due to start. Look out for the signs to indicate which pavilion is marshaling your wave and distance.

A safety and warm up video will be conducted in the PCEC pavilions prior to the start of each distance.

(Participants will begin marshaling to the start line approx. 10 minutes before start time)

Prams are welcome in the 12km Run but we ask you to please register into Wave 3 and start at the back of the field.

Clothing Service

Amended Clothing Service returns in 2013

Simply drop your IGA Clothing Bag at the Clothing Service Drop Off point at the Expo at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre on Friday 23rd or Saturday 24th August, and it will be transported to the Finish Precinct at City Beach Oval ready for collection when you've finished the race.

Please note: Clothing Bags will NOT be accepted on Race Day at the Assembly Area. Should you wish to avail of the Clothing Service, you MUST drop your IGA Clothing Bag with your Bag Tag attached at the Event Expo.

Flick Your Kit will be back in 2013 – a service that encourages participants to wear old clothes down to the start line and donate them to the Salvation Army before the commencement of their race.

On Course - Aid Stations

Water stations are located approximately every 2km along the course.

Qualifying time for Priority Start

In order to qualify for a Priority Start position, participants must prove they can run the course in 45 minutes or less.

Places are limited.

Please fill out a Priority Start Form prior to registering.
